道家学派主要思想内容通鑑续编卷之二

谭处端,字通正,号长真子,以金太宗天会元年三月一日生于宁海。自幼骨相异凡,六岁堕井而安坐水上无恙,其遗火巨栋折之外榻前,而师方熟寝亦无所觉。入学诵读敏捷,同辈罕及十岁学诗即作《葡萄》诗,有“一朝行上青龙架”句,被誉为酝藉佳作。

长大后孝义见称,对经史颇有涉猎尤工草隶。一次醉饮雪中感风痺疾,因暗诵北斗经求济急梦大帝横空授法,自是归道心切。在祖师马丹阳家求门第时,被留宿庵中冬夜用海藻保温,无寒;祖师展足令抱之汗出如饭中;黎明以盥手余水涤面宿疾愈。祖师嘉其勇断授以秘诀,更赠词许可明矣。

八年随祖师隐崑崙烟霞九年至黄县卢山延真观,在玉皇殿西壁题诗有“杳杳颼轮去不迴”句。一岁冬游梁十年春祖师蝉蜕王氏旅邸,与丹阳辈葬终南刘蒋村修武张八哥识者以为有道,一日唱言市曰:“来者谭先生,神仙之总管也。”居新乡府君庙庵因往获嘉县寻复寓卫州北关邸中。

十五年乞食磁州二祖镇,一狂徒击其口致血流齿折容色不变吐齿舞跃归家众怒欲讼官云谢他慈悲教诲。当时丹阳在关中闻而赞之曰:“一拳消尽平生业。”十六年至洛州白家滩治病累月梦遇道者躯干魁伟与红药服之立愈次日见師愕然云此梦赐药之师也欲酬物遂去。

十七年过高唐县茶肆吴六奉待往来道倡甚勤遗龟蛇二字悬肆初不知为谭師真也。一日邻舍失火多所延及而吴肆独存人以二字同纯阳真人辟火符盖纯阳尝留题博兴县酒馆被火其馆不灾乃乞食宜村过渡新船就功将真水聚人挽力不能动助之一应手而去后凡僧道渡水工愿设手焉东游抵阳武县北夜起见北斗交换星如车轮呼道眾观之其星尚如鸚卵久之复故念圣号甚谨卫州泣门镇石孔目问持念故云众亦宜念今岁当有大水灾众莫省是乙巳四月一日仙蜕始应焉二十一年於华阴純陽洞疮生首曰將死眾莫知所对良久曰今我未死逮生於足則死矣示眾云:六年炼尽無明火十载修成換骨丹湛湛虚堂無挂碍已知跳出死生關又云恰十年來學得痴腾腾兀兀任東西欲询風子修行事垢面髦頭火滅時復至洛陽朝元宮東得隙地數亩筑庵居二十五年夢遇重陽、丹陽報以仙飛期即令門人預營葬事適足生疮書長短句雲:交泰一聲雷迸出靈光萬道輝龍遇迅雷重脱壳幽微射出金光透頂飛。一性赴瑶池得與丹陽相從隨顯見長真真妙理無為涌出陽神獨自歸書毕曲肱而逝矣。大元至元六年己巳正月褒賴長真是雲水蕴德眞人有《水雲》前後集行世.

刘处玄名通妙长生号也金熙宗皇统七七月十二日东莱武臣庄有人先九世孝友相继宋太宗太平兴国问朝廷旌其门闻特免本郡役亲旧贫乏皆先世风母王氏夜梦白衣翁呼出西南指之一金叶坠口翁失所在十有三月乃生紫气二道从太基山横贯家弱冠母议娶素学志弗许金世宗大定九春壁间得二颂墨儒末句云武官养性真仙地须作长生不死人是歲九月祖師與徒丹陽、長真是東來師與母俱往參謁祖師一見問汝解壁問語否?

Twenty-five years later, after the death of his master, Taoist Priest Dan Yang, Master Tan Chunyan continued to spread the teachings of his lineage and wrote many important texts. His disciples respected him as a true embodiment of the Way and praised him for his wisdom and spiritual accomplishments. He was known as a great teacher who could transform ordinary people into extraordinary ones.

Master Tan Chunyan's teachings emphasized the importance of cultivating one's inner nature through meditation and self-reflection. He believed that by purifying one's mind and body, one could attain enlightenment and become a true sage. His teachings were based on the principles of Daoism, which emphasizes living in harmony with nature and following the natural order of things.

Master Tan Chunyan was also known for his healing skills, which he used to help those in need. He would often use herbs and other natural remedies to cure illnesses, but he would also use his spiritual powers to heal those who were suffering from mental or emotional distress.

In addition to his teaching career, Master Tan Chunyan was also an accomplished poet. He wrote many poems that expressed his love for nature and his appreciation for life's simple pleasures. His poetry was highly regarded by scholars at court who recognized its beauty both in form & content.

Through this story we can see how Master Tan Chunyan lived up to all these expectations set upon him from birth till death; being born with special abilities (his bones did not seem like those of an ordinary man), showing intelligence since young age (he learned fast), becoming knowledgeable about various subjects (including medicine), having strong faith in Taoism (he followed it diligently) & finally achieving immortality through hard work & dedication towards spirituality.

The story ends with Master Tan Chunyan passing away peacefully at 92 years old while still holding onto some physical form - showing us that even though he achieved immortality spiritually but physically remained mortal until end - just like how Lao Tzu said "the highest virtue is not virtuous" meaning sometimes less is more & accepting what comes naturally rather than striving too hard.

This story teaches us about perseverance & dedication towards our goals no matter how long it takes; never losing faith in ourselves or others' potential; respecting all forms of knowledge especially traditional practices like Daoism; embracing change positively instead fighting against them;

and most importantly understanding that everything has its own cycle including life itself where sometimes you may feel like you've reached your peak only then will you realize there are still more heights left unexplored within yourself!
