。楊扆,榮德人也,以隱君稱。父漢瓊周世宗顯德中守合陽,罷歸後疽發于胯,楊扆自吮疽,終能良愈,由是以孝聞。
楊扆深重有竒志,其子見素曰:三分吾產,一以奉老佛,一以賑窮乏,一以賙吾宗。汝任吾事,我將有所適。遂徑去謁希夷先生於華山,先生授以道要臨別餌以丹,大如芥子遂返其里中,因不復食。一日取橐中金百斤投之江曰:財不足貪也願生賢厚子孫。
其後益沈默,每天大雨仰盛屋溜以灌其首雨止乃已冬寒沍汲水沐浴氣上如蒸年八十八而化踰五十年忽來見從子籍云爾命將終已而果然。
