时间 seemed to slow down as I stared at the blank paper, my mind racing with all sorts of possibilities. Sweat dripped from my brow, and my hands began to shake slightly. The room felt like it was spinning around me.
In a moment of desperation, I decided to take a chance and write down an answer that seemed somewhat plausible. My heart sank as I finished writing the last digit, knowing that this could very well be the wrong choice.
The moment I put down my pen, time snapped back into place. The room stopped spinning, but my heart remained heavy with anxiety. As the teacher collected our papers and left the room, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over me.
Days turned into weeks without any news about our exam results. It was almost as if time had stood still for me while waiting for those dreaded marks on a sheet of paper.
Finally, the day arrived when we would receive our grades in class. My palms were damp with anticipation as Mrs. Lee handed out each student's scorecard one by one.
When she reached me in line-up order, her eyes met mine briefly before moving onto the next person's card – no words spoken or gestures made towards indicating whether it was good or bad news.
I watched anxiously as classmates opened their envelopes and read their scores aloud: some beamed proudly while others looked crestfallen – both reactions starkly contrasting against each other yet equally relatable within this shared experience called high school life.
Mrs., having already distributed all cards except mine (which must have slipped through her fingers), noticed something amiss after realizing how long everyone else had been waiting patiently behind us students eager for their own turn at receiving feedback from what they'd learned throughout these past few months spent inside classrooms filled with chalkboards full of equations & theories covering everything under sun sky above ground below sea level deep beneath ocean floor; you name it!
She glanced back at where she'd set them aside momentarily only now remembering why she took such care not just handing out grade sheets but also making sure nobody lost track during handout process itself since there were so many people involved here today!
